14 Ways Machine Learning Can Boost Your Marketing

In the digital age, marketers can’t win without mastering data, analytics, and automation. Fortunately, machine learning (ML) can already improve marketer performance on common tasks like customer segmentation, generating branded collateral, extracting and classifying relevant content, customer communication, and overall productivity and output. In the new economy, a marketing unit without machine learning mastery operates at a serious handicap.

GitHub: The Autonomous Driving Cookbook from Microsoft

At Microsoft, our mission is to empower every person and organization on the planet to achieve more. That’s why I’m happy to present the Autonomous Driving Cookbook which is now available on GitHub. The Autonomous Driving Cookbook is an open source collection of scenarios, tutorials, and demos to help you quickly onboard various aspects of the autonomous driving pipeline.
A big driver powering this change is the recent advances in software (Artificial Intelligence), hardware (GPUs, FPGAs etc.) and cloud computing, which have enabled ingest and processing of large amounts of data, making it possible for companies to push for levels 4 and 5 of autonomy. Achieving those levels of autonomy though, require training on hundreds of millions and sometimes hundreds of billions of miles worth of training data to demonstrate reliability…

Ultimate guide to deal with Text Data using Python

…for Data Scientists & Engineers
One of the biggest breakthroughs required for achieving any level of artificial intelligence is to have machines which can process text data. The amount of text data being generated in this universe has exploded exponentially in the last few years.
It has become imperative for an organization to have a structure in place to mine actionable insights from the text being generated. From social media analytics to risk management and cybercrime protection, dealing with text data has never been more important.

Paul Allen to invest $125M for new ‘common sense AI’ project, aims to achieve ‘major breakthroughs’

Paul Allen is pouring more money into artificial intelligence research.
The Microsoft co-founder on Wednesday announced Project Alexandria, a new initiative that aims to help develop “common sense AI.” Allen is committing $125 million over the next three years to the project, housed at the Seattle-based Allen Institute for Artificial Intelligence (AI2). The money will go toward Project Alexandria, as well as other work being done at AI2.

CloudQuant Thoughts : AI is very narrow at the moment and any work that can broaden the understanding that AI brings to its first view of any new goal is beneficial to us all. And who doesn’t appreciate the name reference?

An AI was Trained to Play Q*Bert and it Broke all Records

An evolutionary algorithm puts algorithms against one another to see which one completes a task in the best possible way. It then adds a few changes to the remaining algorithms to make them better step by step.
Researchers love using machine learning on games to test how far they can take their algorithms. This trend will continue for a long time to come and we can’t wait to see how far it goes!
